"Lewis Brisbois is an excellent company to master a specific area of law with the support to learn and grow. The nature of insurance defense, however, limits growth and autonomy in the firm. Because of the fragile relationship, Lewis Brisbois has with its insurance carriers (keeping them happy is priority #1, billing is priority #2), work is very cut-throat, the politics are brutal, and an employee is only as good as the hours they bill."
"Ive worked for LBBS for 3 years and in multiple locations. I find that the work is tolerable and the wage is fair. Needs incentives to improve and move up."

"Nothing. It was a job, in a sweat shop. Staff do attorney work, anything to keep costs down."

"Stay away from there - though they are always hiring, as people can't stand it and leave, or get fired."

"Micromanaging. 12 sets of rules, depending on who you worked with and who you know. Some people could do some things, others got fired for doing the same - they play favorites."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Fire them all - they act more like Kindergarten teachers than actually knowing what is going on and listening to people. They look for the bad, never the good."
