What don't you like about working at LEGOLAND?
"The management team was very young, and very new to management. They had much to learn, and as such were perhaps a bit unable to loosen up and allow people to truly show their strengths. The held people back, trying to make every body a jack of all, rather than recognizing people's strengths and letting them loose to use them when appropriate."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"I think they needed to learn to trust the fact that they hired people for specific reasons, and they should let the people do their jobs, rather than forcing people to work in their weekness to make them better rounded. I do believe in having people work on their weekness, but to the exclusion of their strenghts was not a good plan. It made for a very unhappy and stressed workforce, that really should have been a happy shop. It was at one point, but the change of management and management style .. well, it was not the correct approach for those that worked their. That made an unhappy work environment, and therefore reduced not just production and creativity. Both of which were VERY important in that job."
