"I wouldn't have stayed there for twenty years if I didn't like it! They are obviously excellent to work for! I only left due to being laid off after senior partner I worked for passed away."

"I would advise them to ask questions about their reviews and bonuses and possibility of overtime which can supplement the salary."

"I was part of a down-sizing with this company and they have since been through another round of lay-offs. Everyone I worked for was wonderful, I miss my attorney's very much!"

"This is a wonderful company to work for. I realize there are always office politics to deal with, no matter where you go. If you can accept that, going in, then you will be just fine."

"The management was not what it should have been. The entire staff was afraid of the office manager and that left us all in the precarious situation of feeling we had no one to go to."

"Find an office manager that does not pick favorites and outcast and/or pick on the others."

"I worked hard for 4 years as a floater. Also, I was evaluated every single day. Very challenging."

"They hired a gay crazy women who was terminated after they realized they lost the best."

"Diversified duties - kept busy - lots of people to interact with."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"Get your experience there if needed and if you are happy there, then stay. If not, definitely move on. If you are a mature worker, sharp and experienced, expect the young crowd to start trying to push you around and the office manager and her assistant to ignore it or add to it. You will feel frustrated with it. High volume work, low pay and some disorganization."
What don't you like about working at Bruno, Gerbino & Soriano?
"Heavy work load and unreasonable pay. Low pay for mature, experienced women. Had to work with a few disrespectful assistants and secretaries, no true communication. It seemed to be a clickish, immature group of workers. Office manager catered to the younger crowd. For instance, the Christmas Party had very excessively loud rock and roll music (ear damaging!) and nothing at all for mature employees (people in their 50's and up). The music played all evening long and you could not hear yourself talk."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Smarten up - have a little more appeal and fairness for all employees. Better communication and organization. There seemed to be very high turnover at this place, even among attorneys. That is usually a sign of dissatisfaction's among employees. Also, the office seemed to collect too much money for non-profit agencies. Some collections are fine but not all year long. We are not banks - people need their money for their own livelihood and it is an imposition on their lives to ask constantly for contributions for every cause in sight. Enough is enough! Many of us give on our own once a year to a cancer fund or religious mission and that is all we can afford!"

"This would have been a great job to continue to work at; however, the firm dissolved and the staff was let go."

"My boss, Thomas Herrmann, Esq. and my fellow co-workers."
What don't you like about working at Sarvis?
"Some of the other partners were not as organized, etc. as Mr. Herrmann and it created a lot of unnecessary stress for his assistant and the other staff."

"Better utilize the other staff and appreciate and respect the staff."

"I enjoyed working with really great people and I felt I had one of the best teams in the company. I really embraced the work and am grateful for being able to learn so much from my supervisors."

"I felt that Ruden McClosky as a whole did not encourage growth within the firm. I felt that I had gone as far as I could and I needed to move on to a company that would allow me to do just that."

"Inconsiderate. I took a leave of absence to care for my father because he was extremely ill and they terminated me."

"Learn to treat your employees better so that they can be there for you in time of need."
