"from the supervisory level and below, it is a fine group of people who labor under duress. NLM COULD be a paradigm for the rest of Michigan as far as having a diverse, integrated workplace, united in a common purpose, but the ownership and senior management tends to cause stress, and do not stand up for their people."

What don't you like about working at Landstar System?

"Too many unproductive meetings. Over-commitment to customers causes stress and sometimes unattainable expectations; too much micro-management by customers; i.e., they have access to NLM's website and should not be allowed to read trip comments."

"The sales people work thru agents and there is no security for them. If the agents can't make ends meet, they let their sales people go first."

"I would like to see the company be all asset-based and they would be more solid in their employee staff."
