"Lamps Plus started off being an amazing company to work for, until after a year or two passed. The company offers minimal payment with low raise structure, a low commission base for sales reps, and their benefits plan is much higher than most companies. The amount of stress management takes you through is not worth the minimal pay you get. Their is alot of implicit bias and discrimination behind the scenes, so if you're not the majority you will be overlooked. Management spends more time micromanaging everything you do but never provides appropriate training classes for the constant changes the company has. When policies change their is no real notification, there is a lot of gray areas when convenient for management team. This company sells products that are constantly defective and never wants to compensate or reimburse their customer's for the company's failed products. Lamps Plus continues to use old software making it difficult to do one simple task without using up to 5 to 6 different software applications just to process changes to customer's order. The company has an unrealistic expectation of call time for their employees who work extremely hard multitasking through the chaotic system they operate from, with constant system issues and glitches. The employees are held accountable if they are unable to meet management's expectations even when there is system malfunctions. Instead of providing appropriate software for everyday job functions the owner Dennis chooses to be frugal and refuses to upgrade the company's system. I wouldn't recommend this job for hard working people who are looking for growth in a company. Their is favortism based on your ethnicity, this company has no diversity with its management at all. Lamps Plus haa managers with little to any experience running this company and delegating things based on who they know, not they know. Lamps Plus needs to bring in diverse management with real experience, and increase the pay."
