Working at LA Fitness in Orlando, FL: 2 Employee Reviews

LA Fitness Employee

"Not exactly the company to work for if you are a fitness professional or have any other degree, good for hard sales skilled individuals able to convince people in weight loss need. Valuable aspect of the company is being minorities supportive, specially to our gay community due to the fact VP's and GM's belong to it. Good place to make money if you handle the managing by fear pressure."

General Manager

"If you need a job it's great, but if you're looking for a career, look around."

What do you like about working at LA Fitness?

"I like working out and helping people try to recognize their goals."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"For part-time, it would be a great job. If you're looking for a career instead of a job, I would look somewhere else."

What don't you like about working at LA Fitness?

"I was WGM for five months and was passed up for promotion by a sales rep I trained for body of change - held a grudge for my hard work being passed up with no real explanation."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Promotion from hard work and time put in should be more important than quick sales. It's the hard work put in which makes the sales happen in the first place. Employee morale is the best thing to create a productive working environment. If your employees are unhappy, it reflects in their work and in sales."
