What do you like about working at L-3?

"I liked the people I worked for, the products we produced and how the company treated its employees. I also enjoyed the 9/80 work weeks and free breakfast at the end of each week."

"If you enjoy a technology based industry be sure to read up on this company. They are a great company to work for."

What don't you like about working at L-3?

"With my working experience I did not find anything I did not like about the company"

"There were many knowledgeable people to work with, who were helpful. The products manufactured there are advanced and were high reliability."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Prepare to be respectful, prepare to answer some technical questions and be able to cope with stress and abundance of work."

What don't you like about working at L-3?

"There was a lot of stress going around and at times, people would lose patience with regard to solving issues. Also in investigations, resources and tools were frequently delayed or were limited, so some investigations would take time. Carpenters' Labor union would frequently file frivolous grievances that drained finances from the company and limited the company's ability to obtain more resources."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Obtain more resources and tools for conducting effective investigations into manufacturing issues. Also to hire more knowledgeable non-union staff. And if possible, get rid of the labor union."

"The top management at this location is out of touch with the busniess need."

"The technology was interesting, and I some very informed coworkers."

"find a different employer."

What don't you like about working at L-3?

"Management was very insecure and promoted people that didn't threaten their positions. Projects suffered greatly based on poor judgment from middle management. Projects would be taken away from project manager after they were 80 percent complete and given to other people. When the project was complete the credit would be given to people who really didn't work on the project. The atmosphere created a moral problem fro the engineers and cause turn over."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"The top three managers need to be changed to remedy the situation."
