What do you like about working at Koko FitClub?

"I worked for the VP of Technology, who is a really smart guy. He respects the tech people who work for him and gave us a lot of leeway to make our own decisions. We also had a lot of resources at our disposal to accomplish what we needed to do.The environment was relaxed and fun. The people were smart, and the culture was close-knit."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Koko prefers breadth of knowledge over depth. They work with a fair number of disperate systems, and they like to have a developer who can pick up any piece of the system and work with it. If that sounds like you, then you'll fit right in.Not being familiar with a technology they use isn't a problem, so long as you're willing to learn."

What don't you like about working at Koko FitClub?

"The close-knit culture sometimes meant that you'd need to suffer a bit to help the team out. Sometimes it might even involving working in technologies you really didn't want to. That said, I was given a decision about whether to change the direction of my career or leave. When I opted for the latter, management was generous and has made strong efforts to help me find work elsewhere."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Keep doing what you're doing. I think you know what you want and how to get there, and I think you've got the right people to accomplish it. I wish you luck."
