"Go to the next competitor unless you want to go to a stagnant environment."

"Sears hired a bunch of managers to help bring change that was needed, but that was a waste because Sears and K-Mart really do not want to change, so they will fade away because their ancient programs and policies do not work in this era."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Cut out the fat at the top, get new blood that wants to change, and the new blood must come from RETAIL, sorry, but UPS is great, but not at retail. Get rid of the old fashioned people that have been there for 30 plus years and just want to continue to do it their way."

"Too much time away from family - work on weekend and at night constantly."

"More balance of work and personal life."

"Challenging, never the same day twice - very knowledgeable and experienced store staffs. Friendly - great job."

"Uncertainty - at the time upper management was being filtered down - stores closing, etc. Excessive conference calls."

"Pay your employees, especially the ones that works the hardest."

"That I can help customers make their shopping experience a good one by being professional, friendly, helpful, and give them a warm smile. Making a lasting impression on them so they'll want to come back and shop."

"That they don't give many hours for a person to work. They need to give more hours."

"Management should communicate more with their employees, not assume the coworkers know what's expected of their job duties. Management should show more positive reinforcement to their staff, Tell them what a good job they're doing, etc."

"My training was only a couple months and I wish it could of been longer."

"Just be alert and be ready to work. It's a fast pace business and you better keep up."

"I guess not being able to help everyone. You want to help the customers but sometimes you just cannot find a certain product for them."
