"K&E provided amazing opportunities to take continuing education. My co-workers and supervisors were the most experienced legal support staff with whom I have had the privilege to work. The firm culture was also great as it was the correct balance between work and play."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"Come prepared. Bring official school transcripts, certificates, etc. to the interview in both hard copy and on a flash drive."
What don't you like about working at Kirkland & Ellis?
"During my time at K&E, I was allowed to work on only one case. Many of the individuals who were assigned to the case left the firm due to the complexities and frustrations that were associated with it. I would have preferred to have been given the opportunity to work on another case."

"I think management should take interests of the employees into account."

"Keep your other options updated and open."

"The decimation of a happy work environment by the laying off of critical IT peers. The atmosphere of secrecy - managers tend to communicate poorly or not at all. An environment where organizational structure change decisions are made, but which are not clearly communicated or implemented. Staff are given tasks and responsibilities, but not the necessary *authority* to do them."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Trust those whom you managed. Communicate with them. Eschew the culture of secrecy."
What do you like about working at Kirkland & Ellis?
"They do allow some flexibility in work schedule and do not make a fuss over time off needed for doctor's appointments and/or personal commitments. Theyhave good training programs and the opportunity to learn more software when your workload can accommodate it."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"You should know your software, especially Word very well. There is not a word processing department, the secretary is the word processor."

"There are certain employees who are protected and are not pulling their weight as far as assignments and workload. Management definitely has their favorites."
