Submit a Review"I loved being a Kindergarten teacher. However, I enjoyed the task associated with being a Webmaster/Technology Liaison more than being a teacher.Over the years, I decided I no longer wanted to be a teacher which was very demanding both physically and mentally with the lack of protection from possible terrorist or criminal threats in buildings with no security systems in place. I would not be able to live with myself if something happened to the children that were in my care."

"To be fair to everybody and treat everybody the same instead of having favorites based on ethnic or economic background"

What do you like about working at Alpine School District?
"I like the people that work there! I had wonderful co-workers who worked hard and inspired me to do my best. I loved the children in my class and their families."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"They are a wonderful school district; just not a match for me."
What don't you like about working at Alpine School District?
"I had differing teaching philosophies than what they wanted me to use in my classroom. I felt very restricted and not able to use my own brain and creativity to teach the students that I knew so well."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Trust your employees! You hired them for a reason; let them shine without micro-managing. People want to excel, they just need a chance to try their own ideas."

"In the over 20 years since my departure, the people have left."

"The money was poor; there were no benefirs."

"The Suffolk County SSDS had wonderful management."

"Be ready for challenges with your students!!"
What don't you like about working at Indianapolis Public Schools?
"I did not like the work environment very much. I was only in my position part-time, so I didn't get to know the staff very well. Also, the students' behavior was horrible. I would not wish an IPS teaching job on my worst enemy."

"I don't like the people who run the district office."

"The staff at the district office needs to do a better job."

"Basically, I was a substitute teacher. In this district, the students were for the most part well-behaved which made it a pleasant place to work."

"Make sure you have completed a B.A./B.S and have passed the CBEST."
What don't you like about working at Etiwanda School District?
"Being a substitute is not a career job since it offers low salary and no benefits, but if you just need a second income that pays decently for the time spent and don't need benefits, it could be a great job."

"I charish the kids & other teacher with whom I get to work with...I love my job!!"
What do you like about working at Pierce Private Day School?
"I am currently only teaching 1 morning a week. I teach art to the whole school. The thing I enjoy most are hugs from kids & the appreciation I get from the parents."

"The pay...and lack of advancement possibilities."

"It's a tough job, I have no suggestions."
What do you like about working at Bright Horizons?
"I enjoyed the convenience and flexibility while going through school and getting my education. It is secure and have been there for a long time. I am comfortable with my surroundings and felt it was a good fit for me. Now with my new career change, it is time for me to grow and prosper in my new career path."
What don't you like about working at Bright Horizons?
"Unfortunately salary and compensation did not meet with work load and expectations. New management came on board and expectations were a little unrealistic."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"I feel new management needs to actually take the time to get to know the employees and families at the center who have been there for years before coming in and making changes that nobody thinks are suited for the center."
