"High range of nepotism (it's who you know type of environment)- tends to be unfavorable for certain work environments, where people hired off the street are not treated with same courtesies. But of course, in my experience that has been the case in many instances (not just with Keenan)."

"Working with the public (my clients LOVED and respected me)! My focus was to bring exceptional service to my clients and to give them the best professional experience in working with an insurance broker (especially during the school budget crisis)."

What don't you like about working at Keenan & Associates?

"I worked in sales. The industry spiraled downward after the budget crisis. Our department was not making the numbers and we started losing accounts."

"Take care of people and they will take care of you."

"Traveling was overwelming. Traveled more than 75% and more than 350 daily."

"great management"

"They really care about their management, but not about their underlings. Great benefits though if you can handle no opportunities and no support."

"Know that unless you get an in, you are in the same job pretty much forever. Check out the interviewing manager with other employees before saying yes."

"They only support their managers, not their staff."

"Business works from the ground up. Appreciate and SUPPORT your underlings. Especially if you have a manager that has been through multiple support staff in a short period!"

"When John Keenan was CEO, Keenan & Associates was like an extended family. John would personally go around greeting and meeting all his employees. Very nice gentleman - that they do not make any longer."
