"I have worked in k12 since 2018 I have had good experience within the team and with the organization itself."

"I started working for K12 back in 2019, as an enrollment specialist, getting students into their online schooling, it was a mixture of customer service, light sales, and documents processing. I quite enjoyed the work environment and my coworkers, I cannot thank them enough for the work they gave me, it was truly great. Come 2020, my initial contract with them ended back in November, but they decided to rehire my for a different position, this time working on the backend of K12, I helped develop classes that students would be taking. This work was semi-remote, as prior to COVID-19, I would go to the office maybe 1-2 times a week, then work from home. Remote work was very comfortable, and my coworkers were incredible as well. It was a new experience, to say the least, a lot of learning, which my superiors were happy to help with. My only dislike is that after all the work I did for them, I was never hired on permanently, just for contract work."

"I have worked for K12 for 9 years. I have seen the company go from start-up to publicly traded. I work in product development with people committed to making highly effective educational materials. We are always thinking how to create a good user experience to help kids learn. There have been a lot of changes at the top and the company seems in transition. With that transition is uncertainty about roles and responsibilities. Middle management seems to care about the products and employees. I am not sure how upper management feels due to the frequent reorganization."

"Be prepare to hit the ground running with little or no training and constant changes in processes"

"Explaing the bigger picture to staff is sometimes not very easy or communicated well from the top."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Keep evaluations consistent, thorough, and customer-focus; additionally, hire the right team to prevent high turn-over rate, stressed out teams/departments, and irate clients."
