What do you like about working at JPMorgan?

"It was fine until the WAMU management group came in and took over to run their factory, where they didn't care if 25-45% of the loans were declined as long as the underwriters were touching 10 loans per day."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"If you are an ethical underwriter who values the customer (LOs and their sources) and who will not sign a loan that you do not believe in, you won't be happy here."

What don't you like about working at JPMorgan?

"I disliked being reprimanded for taking too much time in communicating with LOs to structure the loan for an approval. Quantity is what they want - not quality, not customer service..."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Replace the upper management team from WAMU. WAMU got into trouble with this same group. Chase Manhattan management needs to take over the mortgage division before they are forced to relive the past of a company they bought out."
