"Find that the company is very discriminatory when it comes to offering opportunities for development. If your not at headquarters or in a friendship with someone it makes it very difficult to seek development opportunities."

"JM offers a great place to work if you want to be engaged with your employees but only if you are at headquarters or larger facilities. There is a lot of opportunity to learn a lot of different aspects of the company."

What do you like about working at Johns Manville?

"The salary and benefits are very good. Communication between upper management, c-level executives and employees is good. I do like my manager; she communicates well with me and our team of analysts."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"The fact that there is a Quarter Century Club says it all. And there are quite a few members. This is why it's challenging to impossible to change the way business is done and inspire innovation and the best use of technology. It feels like the company got stuck in the early '90s. In addition, it is so difficult to fire people who are simply, in some cases, just plain nasty people who know they can't lose their jobs, that JM loses good employees because they don't want to work such people who are whiners, complainers, and stop the forward progress of the company. If I were the CEO, I would be cleaning house and offering early retirement options or let some people go in order to infuse some new energy with some new blood into the company."
