Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems (NGAS) is looking for you to join our team as a Production Planning & Scheduler based out of Iuka, MS. The position enables you to work on exciting programs developing production schedules to meet manufacturing requirements. Using system tools and working closely with various functional teams you will communicate and ensure production capabilities are maintained to meet the overall objectives of the department and facility. The scheduler will drive the manufacturing and support teams to meet the deadlines set and work to mitigate and recover any missed objectives or milestones. As part of the Production Control organization, the individual is critical to the overall success of the programs and customers serviced. Responsibilities: - Maintain accurate and current schedules for focus programs detailing the start and complete dates for work center activities - Plan, prepare, disseminate, and communicate program schedules at various levels for management review and decision-making capability - Use ERP system to initiate and maintain manufacturing orders for current and future work supporting part structure manufacturing - Coordinate with other functional teams to ensure readiness is maintained and production starts are achieved - Support work center capacity data development and facility planning - Support documentation generation for finished goods and production related shipments to ensure transportation is successfully achieved - Serve as cross functional liaison between Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Quality to ensure production has all required inputs The ideal candidate will: • Perform well in a dynamic, constantly changing, and multi task-oriented environment. • Handle simultaneous problems with ease and balance priorities seamlessly. • Have a positive attitude, the ability handle stress calmly, and not be afraid to dive into problems. • Be comfortable managing projects and driving culture of change. • Operate well in the grey and can handle working with ambiguous information. Qualifications: Basic Qualifications: Production Planning and Scheduler - Bachelors degree and 3+ years of relevant work experience, or Masters degree and 1+ years of relevant work experience. Note: an additional 4 years of work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. - Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security clearance - Knowledge of production scheduling process - Knowledge of Production Control function - Basic knowledge and use of MS Office tools, specifically Excel and Outlook - Basic understanding of ERP/MRP Systems Principal Production Planning and Scheduler - Bachelors degree and 6+ years of relevant work experience, or Masters degree and 4+ years of relevant work experience.
