Aleut Aerospace Engineering, LLC is seeking a talented and skilled Lead Configuration Manager/Project Manager for its Combined Space Operations Center CSpOC), Vandenberg AFB, CA worksite in support of Space Delta 5/CSpOC. In this exciting role you will be assisting in all aspects of configuration management for the mission capabilities used by the CSpOC. General responsibilities include, but are not limited to:


Builds and staffs all mission system changes to the CSpOC/Del 5 Mission Systems through the Del 5 Configuration Management process and IAW with AFMAN 63-119, Certification of System Readiness for Dedicated Operational Test and Evaluation.


Support the effective integration of new mission capability and modification of existing mission capability into the CSpOC IAW AFI 13-1 AOCv3, Operational Procedures-Air and Space Operations Center; AFI 10-601, Operational Capability Requirements Development; SI 534-22, ANSI/EIA 649-B, and the Del 5 Configuration Management Plan.


Manage the identification, consolidation and validation and tracking of CSpOC/Del 5 identified capability shortfalls and associated mission needs.


Support Del 5 in the prioritization of identified mission support shortfalls/needs, and suggested courses of action to mitigate the impact of known deficiencies/enhancements.

Coordinate with requisite AF MAJCOMs, System Program Offices and Agencies to ensure timely identification of future/pending CSpOC/Del 5 operational capabilities.


Coordinate strategies to synchronize the delivery and integration of capabilities, and provide routine status and risk identification for assigned programs.


Plan, coordinate and participate in support activities (planning meetings, project review boards, configuration control boards, etc.) to identify Del 5 mission and configuration changes.

Manage the coordination and dissemination of program-specific documentation to all divisions and detachments within the CSpOC/Del 5.


Consolidate CSpOC/Del 5 inputs and responses associated with these programs and products.

Present status of Del 5 Mission Systems at Del 5 Configuration Control Board (CCB) meetings.

Manage personnel and schedules ensuring PWS requirements are met. Follows direction from Prime contractor. Mitigates personnel issues and reports to Program manager

Required Experience
  • Minimum of one year experience
  • Minimum of an Associate's Degree
  • Possess working knowledge of Mission/Weapons Systems used by the Joint Space Operations Center (CSpOC)/Del 5. These include the AOC v10.1 Weapon System (as used by the Del 5), Legacy Space Systems used by the CSpOC/Del 5, and the Del 5/ Communication Infrastructure, preferably with recent Del 5 experience or 10.1 weapon system experience
  • This position requires demonstrated initiative, sound judgment, and effective decision-making
  • Travel: Occasional travel (10%) to CONUS locations is required

  • Clearance: Position requires an Active Top Secret/SCI Government Security Clearance
