Looking for a role with hands-on technical work that drives strong quality compliance? You’ve found it! At Advanex America, Inc., we don’t just make springs—we engineer precision components that help power everything from cutting-edge medical devices to advanced automotive systems. We’re on the hunt for a Spring Engineering Technician (pay generally starts at $19-$20/hr but is commensurate with experience) who’s ready to get into the details, solve problems, and make things bounce (yes, we went there).

What we Require:

  • HS Diploma or GED preferred
  • 1-3 Yrs Manufacturing experience
  • Experience with ITAYA Spring Forming Equipment preferred (and would be amazing!)
  • Basic Math skills
  • Experience with equipment operation, i.e. drill press, engine lathe, surface grinder, milling machine, etc.
  • Ability to use a micrometer and caliper accurately
  • Reliability, able to work independently
  • Good problem-solving ability with a knack for multi-tasking
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to stand and be in motion for entire shift

Responsibilities:

  • Understand the different types of springs produced and the differences in types of wires used in production
  • Know the proper oven temperatures for stress relieving and the effect stress relieving has on different types of wire materials
  • Read blueprints, set up and maintain various machines (both mechanical and CNC)
  • Repair, remake or create new tools as needed
  • Check work performed against established quality standards
  • Follow Quality Control charts to make necessary adjustments to machines to ensure quality compliance
  • Detect problems while machines are in operation
  • Complete complex set-ups and make difficult adjustments on a wide variety of machines
  • Use comparator and other equipment to test parts for quality compliance and customer requirements
  • Test parts using Statistical Process Control; make and read SPC charts
  • Check loads and rate of springs and make necessary adjustments
  • Additional duties as assigned
