About the Role:

We are seeking a Principal Architect with deep expertise in software engineering and AI systems to join our Sales and Marketing Technology team as a senior individual contributor. This role focuses on designing and delivering intelligent, customer-facing platforms that power personalized digital experiences, including recommendation systems, generative AI applications, and search optimization.

You'll drive technical strategy and architecture for scalable systems that span digital commerce, marketing automation, customer support, and sales enablement-translating complex business needs into modern, AI-driven software solutions.

Role and Responsibilities

In this role, you will be expected to:

  • Architect intelligent customer experience systems, including:

  • Recommendation engines, personalization frameworks, and agentic workflows

  • Search and findability solutions

  • Generative AI applications (e.g., RAG, multi-agent frameworks, LLM fine-tuning)

  • Design and implement scalable, modular, cloud-native software architectures using:

  • Microservices and event-driven patterns (Kafka, RESTful APIs)

  • Cloud platforms and infrastructure tools (AWS, GCP, Azure, Docker, Kubernetes)

  • CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices (GitLab, Jenkins, Terraform)

  • Apply advanced AI/ML engineering capabilities to build real-time systems leveraging:

  • LLMs, prompt engineering, orchestration frameworks (LangChain, Semantic Kernel)

  • ML libraries such as PyTorch and TensorFlow for custom model integration

  • Partner cross-functionally to define technology roadmaps, evaluate emerging tools, and drive architectural alignment across teams

  • Act as a technical advisor and architectural authority across multiple domains

  • Serve as a technical thought leader across engineering teams, conducting design reviews, defining best practices, and mentoring developers

  • Lead business and technical discussions, develop architectural vision, requirements, and strategic technology roadmaps in partnership with business and technical leaders

  • Design and implement solutions that are scalable, secure, and flexible using modern technologies and software engineering principles.

Minimum:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical/Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Management Information Systems or equivalent fields

  • 10+ years of experience in software engineering with a focus on designing large-scale, customer-facing platforms

  • Expertise in cloud-native software architecture, API design, and real-time system integration

  • Proven experience developing or integrating AI-driven applications, including generative AI

  • Proficiency in modern programming languages such as Python, Java, or JavaScript

  • Strong understanding of DevOps, CI/CD, containerization, and infrastructure as code

Preferred:

  • Hands-on experience with generative AI frameworks, including LangChain, OpenAI APIs, RAG, or multi-agent systems

  • Familiarity with MarTech platforms and customer experience technologies (e.g., personalization engines, CDPs, web analytics)

  • Understanding of data privacy regulations and how they impact software design (e.g., GDPR, CCPA)

  • Experience working in Agile environments and partnering with cross-functional teams to deliver production-grade AI applications
