This is a 100% onsite position in a laboratory setting and requires fine motor skills and manual dexterity to handle small components.

This is a 100% onsite position in a laboratory setting and requires fine motor skills and manual dexterity to handle small components.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare both routine and client-provided samples for SEM and AFM analysis using:
- Operate SEM and AFM equipment, including optimizing scans and collecting high-resolution data.
- Perform basic image processing and data analysis using specialized software.
- Create and organize data into clear, communicable reports for internal stakeholders.
- Support product development teams by performing physical property testing, optical measurements, and sample characterization.
- Provide flexible shift coverage on an as-needed basis (~3–5 days/month).
Required Qualifications:
- 2+ years of hands-on experience in an optical metrology or microscopy lab.
- Demonstrated experience operating SEM and/or AFM instrumentation.
- Experience with sample preparation techniques, including ultramicrotomy and ion milling.
- Strong manual dexterity and ability to work with small, delicate components.
- Ability to wear PPE (safety glasses, gloves); possible exposure to irritants such as epoxies.
Additional Information:
- Location; Saint Paul, MN
- Pay Range: $25 - $27 per hour
- Duration: 12 Months
- The role also includes rotating shift support (including night shifts) on a limited basis.
