Position Responsibilities:
In this position, you'll be responsible for facilitating clinical services through the facility to ensure high-quality, cost-effective patient care. Assists in the coordination of staff, equipment, and resources needed to keep the surgery center functioning safely and efficiently on a daily basis. Responsible for the daily needs/operations of the OR. Coordinating with PAT staff to verify patient pre-admission requirements. Overseeing daily staffing assignments in the assigned clinical areas and the daily surgery schedule. Reviewing the surgery schedule for the following day and establishing case orders based on physician preference, patients' needs and requests, and instrument availability. Monitors surgery scheduling sheets for surgeon special requests and/or patient needs. ORA holds all of our staff members accountable for providing high-level care, maintaining patient confidentiality, and complying with all HIPAA rules and regulations. As a member of our ASC team, you're actively involved in work that makes a significant difference in the lives of our patients.
Requirements:
This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent as well as an active RN license in the state of Iowa, and holds certifications for BLS, ACLS, and PALS. A minimum of two years of OR or Pre/Post experience is required, along with management experience, possessing considerable knowledge of surgical operations and functions, and displaying excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills. Candidates must have a strong ability to multitask and prioritize appropriately, and the ability to effectively communicate and interact with patients and their families.
