Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Integration Technician with experience in aerospace electrical systems or
equivalent experience in the development of electrical systems for prototype and bench test assemblies. This role is crucial in the hands-on fabrication, installation, and troubleshooting of complex electrical wiring harnesses and electronic assemblies for experimental aircraft platforms. The ideal candidate brings precision, attention to detail, and experience in working with prototype hardware in a fast-paced R&D environment.
As an Electrical Integration Technician at SyberJet, you will work closely with engineers to create, install, troubleshoot, and maintain experimental electronic systems in support of aircraft development programs.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Interpret engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, interface control documents (ICDs), and schematics to support
    wire harness fabrication,
    installation, routing,
    and termination
    in prototype systems, test setups,
    and flight test operations.
  • Perform assembly, integration, and troubleshooting of sub-systems and components including sensors, flight control computers, power distribution systems, and custom electronics.
  • Collaborate with engineers to develop and conduct system-level tests, continuity checks, insulation resistance tests, and functional verification of wiring installations using standard test equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, signal generators.
  • Provide technical support during both the development and production phases, troubleshooting complex electrical issues, and implementing effective solutions.
  • Document build procedures, wiring updates, redlines, and discrepancies for continuous design and integration improvements to support development, production, and regulatory approval processes.

Qualifications:

  • Education:High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in electronics, avionics, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience:Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in aerospace, defense, or other electrical wiring
    proficiency, preferably on prototype or custom-built systems.
  • Technical Expertise:Familiarity with MIL-spec and aerospace wiring standards and practices, and with tools such as wire strippers, crimpers, soldering irons, multimeters, and harness test equipment.
  • Standards Knowledge:Extensive experience with aerospace industry standards and regulations (e.g., DO-160, MIL-STD-704, FAR Part 23/25).
  • Software Proficiency:Proficiency with electrical design and simulation tools (e.g., MATLAB, Simulink, Altium, AutoCAD, Teamcenter, Jira, Confluence or similar) and electrical analysis software.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced Degree:Bachelors degree in electrical engineering or aerospace engineering.
  • Specialized Experience:Experience supporting flight hardware, flight test articles, or spacecraft avionics.
  • Software Experience: Familiarity with CAD tools for wiring harness design (e.g., Capital Harness, Zuken, SolidWorks Electrical, or similar).
  • Relevant Experience:Previous experience working with rapid prototyping, skunkworks, or experimental programs.
