Position Summary:

The HVAC Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems across the property. This role ensures optimal climate control and energy efficiency while maintaining compliance with Arizona state regulations. The HVAC Technician reports directly to the General and Operations Manager and collaborates with the broader maintenance team to support the overall functionality and comfort of the facility.


Performance Objectives:

  • Install, maintain, and repair HVAC systems including A/C units, furnaces, split systems, and hot water systems.
  • Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure system efficiency and longevity.
  • Diagnose HVAC issues and implement effective repair action plans.
  • Clean and service systems, including filters, coils, fans, and ductwork.
  • Perform warranty work and install new equipment as needed.
  • Maintain existing HVAC infrastructure and ensure all systems are operating within safety and performance standards.
  • Provide and utilize personal tools including gauges, hand tools, and power tools.
  • Work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, based on guest and business needs.
  • Support general facility maintenance tasks as needed, including landscaping, carpentry, painting, and minor plumbing or electrical work.
  • Comply with all health, safety, and OSHA standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:

  4. Problem-Solving Abilities: Skilled in addressing challenges that may arise, particularly those involving multiple variables in standardized situations
  5. Facility Maintenance Expertise: Experienced in all aspects of grounds and facility maintenance, including repair of amenities and various utility systems. Capable of prioritizing tasks and following up on completed work to ensure the upkeep of the facility
  6. Technical Expertise: Proficient in HVAC systems, diagnostics, and repair techniques.
  7. Compliance and Safety: Thorough understanding and adherence to health, safety, and OSHA standards in all maintenance activities. Proficient in the safe use of equipment and proper handling of hazardous chemicals, ensuring the safety of oneself and others

Education & Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Prior experience in facility maintenance or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as an HVAC Technician.
  • Familiarity with common maintenance tools and equipment.
  • Knowledge of health, safety, and OSHA standards preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work varying schedules, including weekends and holidays if necessary.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Manual dexterity for handling tools and equipment.
  • Clear vision and hearing for effective communication.
  • Willingness to work in varying weather conditions.
