Overview
The NatWest Operations Oversight & Advisory team supervises activities outsourced to Broadridge and supports key clients and stakeholders as part of our global Business Partnering Centre of Excellence. The role involves collaborating with Operations Service Providers, Front Office, Business Management, Client Management, Risk & Control, and COO teams to respond to market and technology events, and to improve processes and services. The team ensures service quality aligns with controls, agreements, regulations, and business appetite, while maintaining relationships and enhancing operational capabilities.
Responsibilities include:
- Overseeing outsourced activities daily according to documented procedures.
- Leading operations to resolve front-end and time-sensitive issues, ensuring smooth trade lifecycle flow.
- Implementing and executing Written Supervisory Procedures (WSPs) for outsourced activities, ensuring supervision is documented.
- Reviewing and challenging Broadridge SOPs and outputs, working with stakeholders to address concerns and incidents.
- Ensuring Broadridge's readiness for industry, change, and regulatory initiatives.
- Identifying opportunities to re-engineer processes and controls for cost, regulatory compliance, and customer service improvements.
- Monitoring and maintaining Service Level Agreements.
- Managing audits and risk assessments, ensuring issues are resolved.
- Participating in governance meetings with service providers, documenting issues and actions.
- Maintaining control environment via policy updates, SOX controls, MI reporting, and governance documentation.
- Reviewing agent invoices.
- Reporting to management on outsourced activities, highlighting risks and issues.
- Maintaining relationships with agent banks through regular meetings.
- Reviewing and approving cash wires and journal entries.
- Processing month-end ledger cash adjustments and reconciliations with Finance.
Requirements
- Undergraduate Degree
- FINRA Series 99 and/or 7
- 7+ years’ experience in Fixed Income Operations or Middle Office at an investment bank
- Strong understanding of Fixed Income products, Repo/Triparty Processing, DTCC Central Clearing
- Knowledge of Fixed Income settlements, collateral management, and reference data
- Understanding of US regulatory requirements for Broker Dealer Operations
- Self-motivated with a willingness to learn and expand knowledge
- Proven understanding of accounting principles
- Comfortable communicating with auditors
- Ability to engage with senior stakeholders internally and externally
- Strong time management and multi-tasking skills, with clear communication
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint and Excel
- Experience with project management and risk/control principles

The annual salary range is $125,000 - $145,000, with additional benefits including bonuses, health plans, retirement plans, paid time off, parental leave, and tuition reimbursement.
