Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of 3-4 sales representatives. Foster a collaborative, high-energy environment focused on achieving targets and delivering exceptional results for both new and existing clients.
Account Management: Oversee and nurture key accounts, ensuring that client needs are met, relationships are strengthened, and business opportunities are maximized. Manage some of our largest and most strategic tobacco accounts with a focus on retention and growth.
Sales Strategy: Execute a balanced sales strategy that includes both “hunting” for new business and “farming” existing accounts. You’ll play a critical role in expanding our national footprint while deepening relationships within current accounts.
Account Growth & Expansion: Identify opportunities for upselling, cross-selling, and expanding services within existing accounts, while aggressively seeking out new prospects and building a pipeline for growth.
Travel: Be prepared to travel 50-60% of the time to meet with clients and prospects across NV, UT, and CA. This will include in-person meetings, trade shows, and industry events to deepen relationships and identify new business opportunities.
Collaboration & Cross-Functional Support: Work closely with the marketing, product development, and customer success teams to ensure clients’ expectations are met and exceeded. Provide feedback from the field to help shape product strategies and go-to-market initiatives.
Sales Reporting & Performance: Maintain and update CRM with all relevant sales activities, forecasts, and account statuses. Use data-driven insights to monitor team performance, track KPIs, and improve sales processes.
Industry Expertise: Keep up-to-date with market trends, regulations, and shifts in the tobacco industry to provide clients with valuable insights and strategic advice.
Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in senior account management or sales leadership, preferably in the tobacco, FMCG, or related industry.
Proven track record of managing large accounts and leading sales teams to exceed targets and grow existing business.
Strong ability to “hunt” for new opportunities while also “farming” existing relationships to drive deeper engagement and increase revenue.
Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills with the ability to build and maintain lasting client relationships.
Demonstrated success in leading and coaching a team, with a focus on motivation, accountability, and results.
Willingness and ability to travel 50-60% to NV, UT, and CA.
Proficiency with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and other sales tools.
Knowledge of the tobacco industry, including regulatory considerations, is a plus.
