As a band saw operator, you take a variety of materials and run it over the band saw table, following the appropriate process to cut the material into specified shapes. Your job duties include operating and maintaining the band saw through routine preventative maintenance. A band saw is a serrated blade wrapped around a conveyor belt, so you must inspect it regularly for broken wheels, missing teeth, and other defects.
When interviewing for this position you will be required to pass a tape measure test and basic math test which includes decimals and fractions. Applicants needs to be detail oriented, punctual, reliable, work in a safe manner, have a positive attitude and be able to work in a fast paced environment. Two years experience in a warehouse/manufacturing field preferred.
Ideal Candidate Must:
- *Have a clean work history & pass a physical / drug screen.
- *Be able to read a tape measure and pass a tape test.
- *Have at least 1 year of experience.
- *Maintain a safe, clean and organized working environment.
- *Have the ability to work with a sense of urgency while maintaining accuracy and order.
- *Demonstrate the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- *Have high attention to detail and accuracy.
- *Be able to work in any weather condition.
- *Be flexible and able to work overtime, including weekends.
