Job Description
As an integral part of the Development & Capital Project Accounting team, the Senior Project Accountant will work on a fast-paced team to set up capital projects, enter and administer statements of work, and submit invoices for payment while managing the budgets.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Include but are not limited to the following, as other duties may be assigned.
Set up and enter estimates for projects across a network of buildings, as well as perform any project management administrative duties and responsibilities, such as:
Process, enter and track statements of work within budget guidelines
Process change orders
Process invoices for payments under the contracts
Reconcile commitments and payments by job
Vendor maintenance
Provide reports for management
Assist in providing documentation for internal and external audits
Respond promptly to inquiries from subcontractors, vendors and other team members
Perform other duties as assigned
Support related teams
TECHNICAL PREREQUISITES
- Accounting, Finance or Business Administration degree
- 5+ years of relatable accounting experience
Familiarity with Job Cost and Construction Accounting
Ability to communicate in a positive and professional manner with engineers, building managers, contractors, vendors and executives
Organizational skills, ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
Microsoft Office proficiency, Accounting systems experience
