Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of the construction process for mission-critical projects, ensuring that all work is completed in accordance with design, budget, and schedule.
- Coordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractors, ensuring they understand their roles and responsibilities.
- Review work progress daily and address any issues or delays promptly.
- Ensure quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other construction specialists, ensuring all parties are aligned and working towards the same goal.
- Implement risk management procedures to identify potential problems before they occur and develop contingency plans as necessary.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations.
- Prepare and present reports detailing project progress and status to stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the construction industry, with a particular focus on mission-critical facilities such as data centers and hospitals.
- Proven experience as a construction superintendent or in a similar role.
- In-depth understanding of construction procedures, material, and project management principles.
- Familiarity with quality and health and safety standards.
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
- Outstanding communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to read and understand complex architectural and engineering drawings.
- Proficient in construction management software.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in high-stress environments and make decisions quickly.
