Civil Litigation Partner / Senior Counsel – Real Estate & Construction Law
📍 Remote Optional | Preference for In-Office (SoCal)

We are a client-focused law firm serving a wide range of individuals and businesses—from personal injury clients to real estate developers, builders, contractors, engineers, architects, material suppliers, and property owners and tenants across residential, commercial, office, and industrial sectors. We are currently seeking a highly experienced Civil Litigation Partner or Senior Counsel to lead complex litigation matters and contribute to the continued growth of our practice.

About the Role
This is a senior-level position for an attorney who thrives on autonomy and is confident managing cases from inception through trial. You will handle a variety of civil litigation matters, with a focus on real estate, construction, and landlord-tenant disputes. Experience in habitability defense cases for insurance carriers is strongly preferred, along with broader insurance defense litigation experience.

Key Responsibilities
Independently manage civil litigation cases from intake through trial
Develop litigation strategy, conduct discovery, draft pleadings, and represent clients in court
Handle habitability defense and other insurance-related litigation matters
Collaborate with internal teams and clients to ensure timely and effective case resolution
Maintain compliance with all legal standards and procedural requirements
Qualifications
Must be licensed to practice law in California
Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school
Minimum 10+ years of experience in civil litigation, specifically in real estate, construction, and landlord-tenant law
Proven ability to manage cases independently and take them through trial
Experience in habitability defense and insurance defense litigation strongly preferred
Excellent legal writing, negotiation, and courtroom skills
Strong client communication and relationship-building abilities
Ability to work remotely; however, in-office presence is preferred
