We are seeking a seasoned and dynamic Permanent Professional Liability Attorney (Defense) to join our thriving legal team. This role is a unique opportunity to work on high-profile cases and interact with top-tier clients in the legal industry. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in professional liability defense, with particular expertise in malpractice and litigation. This position requires a minimum of 2+ years of experience in a similar role, demonstrating a proven track record of successful defense strategies and outcomes.

Responsibilities:

1. Represent and defend clients in the area of professional liability, focusing on malpractice cases.
2. Manage all aspects of litigation, including discovery, depositions, motions, trial preparation, and trial execution.
3. Provide legal advice and guidance to clients regarding potential or existing legal proceedings.
4. Develop and implement defense strategies that effectively address client needs and circumstances.
5. Conduct thorough and meticulous research to support defense strategies and legal advice.
6. Draft, review, and revise various legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, and contracts.
7. Collaborate with other attorneys, paralegals, and legal assistants to ensure the efficient and successful handling of cases.
8. Stay updated on current laws, regulations, and industry standards related to professional liability and malpractice.
9. Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing exceptional client service at all times.

Qualifications:

1. Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school.
2. A minimum of 2+ years of experience as a Professional Liability Attorney with a focus on defense.
3. Proven experience in malpractice and litigation.
4. Active membership and good standing with the State Bar.
5. Exceptional research, analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
6. Ability to manage and prioritize multiple cases simultaneously.
7. Strong understanding of legal procedures, terminology, and documentation.
8. Proficient in using legal research software and other relevant computer applications.
9. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically and creatively.
10. Demonstrated commitment to ethical standards and professional integrity.
