We are on the lookout for a dynamic Director of Accounting to join our fast-paced Accounting and Finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the accounting department, including real estate, treasury, property management, and financial management. This is a permanent position that offers an excellent opportunity to lead a team, make strategic decisions, and contribute to the company's financial success.

Responsibilities:

As the Director of Accounting, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

1. Overseeing all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition.
2. Managing and supervising the accounting department's daily operations.
3. Coordinating and directing the preparation of the budget, financial forecasts, and report variances.
4. Preparing and publishing timely monthly financial statements.
5. Coordinating the preparation of annual tax reports.
6. Ensuring quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
7. Managing and complying with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
8. Developing and documenting business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
9. Conducting the year-end close process and monthly reporting.
10. Overseeing the treasury and real estate functions.
11. Supervising the property management accounting aspects.
12. Managing the EFT processing and CD/MM transactions.

Qualifications:

To be considered for this role, you must possess the following qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. A Master's degree or CPA is highly desirable.
2. A minimum of 2+ years of experience in a senior-level finance or accounting position.
3. Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations.
4. High attention to detail and accuracy.
5. Ability to direct and supervise.
6. Strong working knowledge of financial management, treasury, property management, and real estate.
7. Proficient in EFT processing and CD/MM transactions.
8. Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
9. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
10. Strong analytical skills and experience creating financial reports and forecasts.
11. Advanced computer software skills, including Excel and accounting packages.
