About the role
As a Buyer at Kerry, you will be responsible for sourcing and procuring raw materials, packaging, and indirect goods and services to support manufacturing and business operations. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery, cost efficiency, and supplier performance, while aligning with Kerrys sustainability and quality standards.
Key responsibilities
Manage procurement activities for assigned categories, ensuring optimal cost, quality, and delivery.
Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships and negotiate contracts and pricing agreements.
Monitor market trends and identify opportunities for cost savings and risk mitigation.
Collaborate with planning, production, quality, and R&D teams to align procurement strategies with business needs.
Ensure compliance with Kerrys procurement policies, sustainability goals, and regulatory requirements.
Analyze supplier performance and implement improvement plans where necessary.
Support new product development and innovation projects by sourcing new materials and suppliers.
Qualifications and skills
Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
4+ years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain, preferably in the food or manufacturing industry.
Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP) and Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with global sourcing and supplier management.
Knowledge of sustainability practices in procurement.
Certification in supply chain or procurement (e.g., CPSM, CIPS) is a plus.
Compensation Data
The typical hiring range for this role is $64,479 to $105,272 annually and is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, location, etc. In addition to your pay, Kerry offers benefits such as a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and retirement contribution (all benefits and incentives are subject to eligibility requirements).
