Maintenance Mechanic / Maintenance Technician

A successful Maintenance Technician will support operations and proactively lead preventative maintenance work. They demonstrate the willingness and ability to act swiftly to meet the customer's needs. This person must be able to fully cross-train in all maintenance areas, including mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic, for both troubleshooting and preventative maintenance. Will utilize computerized maintenance systems and can demonstrate systemic troubleshooting decision-making. This person is dedicated, thrives in a fast-paced environment, is a self-starter, and loves to provide input and ideas to help the bakery succeed.

 

Job Duties:

· As a Maintenance Tech, you will play a crucial role in ensuring continued functionality and safety of our facility

· A successful Maintenance Technician will support operations and proactively lead preventative maintenance work

· They demonstrate the willingness and ability to act swiftly to meet the customer's needs

· This person must be able to fully cross-train in all maintenance areas, including mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic, for both troubleshooting and preventative maintenance

· Will utilize computerized maintenance systems and can demonstrate systemic troubleshooting decision-making

· This person is dedicated, thrives in a fast-paced environment, is a self-starter, and loves to provide input and ideas to help the bakery succeed

· Must commit to learning all Food Safety, GMP, and HACCP regulations

· Attend scheduled training(s) onsite and offsite

 

Qualifications:

· Candidates must have at least 3 - 5 years of industrial maintenance millwright and electrical experience

· Ability to work 12-hour shifts, including weekends, holidays, and overtime as schedule requires

· The candidate must be proficient in at least two areas: electricity, electronics, PLC, logic, mechanical troubleshooting, power transmission, welding, steam systems, compressed air systems, and hydraulics

· Must be self-motivated with the ability to work alone when required

· Must read and understand blueprints, mechanical drawings, and electrical schematics

· Experience using maintenance tools

· Ability to work at heights, heat, and extreme cold conditions

· Personal and total commitment to observing all safety rules and regulations, including the ability to wear all required personal protective equipment

· High school diploma or GED

· PLC programming skills

· HVAC skills

· Air compressors and compressed air systems skills

· Trade school certificate, diploma equivalent

· Worked in a manufacturing environment

The position requires physical activity such as reaching, bending, twisting, squatting, lifting 50 pounds or more, and standing for 8-12 hours daily

1st Shift: 4:30am to 1pm

2nd shift: 12:30pm to 9pm

3rd Shift: 8:30pm to 5am

Temporary to Hire or Permanent

$27.00-37.00 DOE
