Title: Data Privacy Business Analyst/Project Manager

Location: Charlotte, North Carolina OR Atlanta, Georgia

Environment: Hybrid

Pay: $65-$67/hour W2

Duration: 12-18 month contract to hire

Job Description:We are seeking a Senior Business Analyst with a strong focus on data privacy and protection to join our enterprise team. This role will support critical privacy initiatives, including customer data access and opt-out processes, and work across multiple business and technology teams to assess applications for privacy remediation.

The ideal candidate will have a business-focused mindset, strong Excel and intermediate SQL skills, and experience in risk, compliance, or data privacy operations. This is a hands-on role, requiring excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to lead meetings with various stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Line of Business leaders to identify applications that contain personal data.
  • Conduct privacy-related operational tasks such as quality control and survey validation.
  • Analyze how personal data is used across the enterprise and ensure alignment with opt-out and preference management policies.
  • Support legal and compliance teams with data usage reviews.
  • Facilitate meetings with business stakeholders, technology teams, compliance, and marketing departments.
  • Assist in scoring, prioritization, and remediation planning for applications based on privacy risks and enterprise goals.
  • Identify manual activities suitable for automation and support their implementation.
  • Support the mapping and dispositioning of personal data on applications prioritized for remediation.
  • Create clear and concise presentations and reports for project status, stakeholder updates, and strategic recommendations.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in business analysis, preferably in risk, compliance, or privacy operations.
  • Enforcing TCPA, CPRA, GLBA, and CAN-SPAM requirements.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills across business and technology groups.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel (advanced formulas, pivots, analysis) and PowerPoint (executive-level reporting).
  • Intermediate SQL skills – able to write and interpret queries for data validation or analysis.
  • Experience facilitating meetings with cross-functional teams, including legal, compliance, marketing, and IT.
  • Background in data privacy, data protection, or cybersecurity (strongly preferred).
  • Understanding of regulatory compliance and risk frameworks related to personal data.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, high-impact environment.
