Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • In accordance with the company's best practice policies and local, state, and federal laws, enforce the safety program.
  • Understand current market conditions, including pricing conventions and trends.
  • Take part in industry organizations and represent the Company at networking events, trade shows, career fairs, etc.
  • Lead the project team(s) by providing structure, defining objectives and goals for each team member, and assigning individual responsibilities.
  • Provide input on constructability, schedule, and process during preconstruction and bid process.
  • Establish a preliminary schedule for the project and evaluate and update it monthly or more frequently if necessary. Ensure that construction activities follow the schedule, and all parties are aware of the project schedule.
  • Develop scopes of work and maintain a procurement tracking log and negotiate and prepare subcontract agreements as part of the procurement process.
  • Manage the contractual performance of all subcontractors to ensure compliance with scope, schedule, and quality requirements.
  • Participate in weekly meetings with the Project Superintendent with the subcontractors.
  • Ensure that the Division head is kept informed about all project issues, progress, budget, and changes to the project.
  • Make sure that budgets are adhered to by managing the budgeting process.
  • Prepare a monthly cost analysis that includes all potential change orders.
  • In accordance with the project specifications, submit, track, and obtain all building, occupancy, and other permits required.
  • To ensure that project requirements are met during the submission and request for information processes.
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly company reports concerning project risks and financial management.
  • Review and approve payment requests and applications for subcontractors and vendor invoices.
  • Conduct the project close-out process necessary to facilitate the timely release of retention.
  • Provide mentoring and training to project team members to support their growth and development within the organization.


Requirements


Desired Knowledge and Experience-

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience managing construction projects with a value exceeding Twenty-five (25) Million Dollars, both singularly and cumulatively.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field
  • An established track record of client satisfaction and profitability
  • OSHA 30-hour, First Aid and CPR certifications
  • Experience with Microsoft Office 365, Procore, Bluebeam, and BIM
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to evaluate and prioritize multiple tasks, projects, and demands
  • Ability to organize and interact effectively with others
  • Reliable, self-motivated, passionate, and committed to quality
