Position Overview
We are seeking a strategic and results-driven AI Strategy Product Owner to lead the development and delivery of AI-powered solutions that align with enterprise and mission-critical goals. This role is ideal for a product leader who thrives at the intersection of AI innovation, agile delivery, and stakeholder engagement.
As the AI Strategy Product Owner, you will define product vision, prioritize features, and guide cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, responsible AI solutions. You will work closely with clients, engineers, and data scientists to ensure that AI products are valuable, viable, and aligned with evolving business and regulatory needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Product Strategy & Ownership: Define and own the product vision, roadmap, and KPIs for AI strategy and enablement solutions. Translate business needs into prioritized product features and user stories. Ensure alignment between AI product development and enterprise transformation goals.
- Agile Delivery & Execution: Lead Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives. Work with engineering, data science, and UX teams to deliver impactful AI capabilities. Track product performance and adjust based on user feedback and outcomes.
- Stakeholder Engagement & Governance: Act as the main link between business stakeholders and technical teams. Ensure AI solutions comply with standards like NIST AI RMF. Conduct workshops to align product goals with mission needs.
- Innovation & Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on AI trends, tools, and framework (e.g., LLMs, agentic AI, MLOps). It is essential to continually enhance product development processes and foster better collaboration within the team. Additionally, promoting a culture of experimentation, continuous learning, and responsible innovation will drive progress and success.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, Business, or related field. Equivalent work experience demonstrating progressive responsibility and expertise in AI strategy, architecture, delivery, or enablement may be considered instead of a formal degree.
- Minimum 7–10+ years of experience in product management, AI strategy, or digital transformation.
Proven experience leading Agile product teams and delivering AI/ML-enabled solutions.
Strong understanding of AI lifecycle, governance, and enterprise integration.
Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Attributes
Advanced Education in AI or Strategic Leadership, master's degree (e.g., MBA, MPP, or MS in AI/Data Science) that facilitates strategic thinking, policy alignment, and technical expertise in AI-driven environments.
Industry-recognized certifications such as Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager, or CompTIA Security+ / DoD 8570 IAT Level II/III, which demonstrate proficiency in agile delivery, security, and compliance.
Cloud and AI Platform Proficiency practical experience or certification in platforms such as Microsoft Azure AI, Google Cloud ML, or AWS AI/ML, IBM or others supporting enterprise-scale AI integration and deployment.
AI Governance and Public Sector Experience Knowledge of AI governance frameworks (e.g., NIST AI RMF, ISO/IEC 42001) and experience in federal consulting or public sector transformation, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and mission-critical requirements.
