We boldly challenge what’s possible for a sustainable world. \n Job Summary: Trane Technologies Co-Op Program provides current college students with meaningful assignments, leadership training, valuable exposure to our company's senior leaders and opportunities to network. Our Co-Op program is offered to students pursuing a degree in Engineering from concentrations such as Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace and more. Click here to learn more. \n Where is the work:   \n This position has been designated as On-Site.   \n We have various co-op positions available; examples of potential work assignments are: \n Product Engineering Co-Op: \n\nCultivate untapped value of our product through an analysis of large amount of customer use profile data. \nImprove current design or product base on design for manufacturability \nLead cross-functional team to complete quality improvements/initiatives \nResearching new opportunities to add to specials portfolio to board customer base \nComplete analysis of an update to an industry standard or code required for sustained products \n\n Manufacturing Engineering Co-Op: \n\nAnalyzing production times and developing job breakdown sheets \nImplementing manufacturing process improvement: metal forming/fabrication, CNC machining operations, mechanical assembly, welding robotics, flame/induction brazing, etc. \nAssisting with new capital equipment purchases, involving business case support and equipment research \nSupport product performance testing \n\n Quality Engineering Co-Op: \n\nQuality system development for new products and existing products \nPartnering with Internal Audit for process improvement and documenting quality procedures \nAnalyzing processes, documentation, and production for quality improvement \nAd-hoc projects based on skill-level, degree, or general interest \n\n Electrical Engineering Co-Op: \n\nPerform troubleshooting procedures assigned by electronic hardware design engineers. \nPerform product testing procedures assigned by electronic hardware design engineers. \nOrganize and report results of analysis work to engineers and product managers. \nReview electronic component datasheets and specifications to identify substitute lower cost parts. \nManage, manipulate, and organize large component pricing MS Excel spreadsheets. \nEffectively meet the needs of internal and external customers. \nAs we hire the majority of our full-time positions through our intern & co-op talent, successful candidates will have an opportunity to interview for full-time positions.  \n\n What you will bring: \n\nWe are looking for enthusiastic, innovative team members who understand the importance of collaboration and customer focus. \nCurrently enrolled and pursuing a BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, Computer Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related major \nMust be available to work Full-time for 6-8 consecutive months (January-August or May-December) \nCollaborate with others to foster effective teamwork by linking own responsibilities to the team’s goals and needs - zeal for new information, knowledge, and experiences \nEstablish courses of action for self and others to ensure work is completed efficiently; ability to prioritize tasks based on importance \nDemonstrated leadership: campus organizations, sports team captain, resident advisor, etc. or exceptional leadership on work projects \nU.S. citizen or have the legal right to work in the U.S. without requiring sponsorship now or in the future \n\n Compensation:     \n Base Pay Range: $15.00 - 30.00 per hour \n Total compensation for this role will include a commission/incentive plan.
