We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Part-Time Accounting Clerk to join our client's team in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. This role provides a prime opportunity to demonstrate your expertise in essential accounting functions, including account reconciliation, billing, and invoice management. As a Contract-to-Permanent position, it offers the potential for long-term career growth within a collaborative environment that values accuracy and efficiency in financial operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform daily account reconciliation to maintain accurate financial records.

  • Oversee accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR), ensuring timely payments and collections.

  • Create, process, and manage invoices while maintaining compliance and proper documentation.

  • Maintain accurate records of transactions and ensure timely data entry.

  • Handle billing processes, including preparing and reviewing billing statements.

  • Utilize accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Oracle, SAP) and advanced Microsoft Excel functions to complete financial tasks effectively.

  • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve discrepancies and address accounting inquiries.

  • Assist with month-end and year-end close processes.

  • Identify areas for process improvement to enhance efficiency in accounting operations.

  • Ensure adherence to company policies and relevant regulations in all financial activities.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in accounting operations, including AP/AR, reconciliation, invoicing, and billing.

  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. Quickbooks)

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to meet deadlines in a dynamic, fast-paced work environment.

  • Familiarity with month-end and year-end closing procedures.

  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

  • A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to financial regulatory compliance.
