Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech and language services to students in accordance with IEP requirements, while operating under virtual supervision.
- Accurately collect and record data on student progress during therapy sessions for ongoing assessment and documentation.
- Prepare and organize therapeutic materials and activities to facilitate effective learning experiences.
- Assist with the scheduling and setup of therapy sessions, ensuring smooth coordination between school staff and the supervising SLP.
- Observe and report on student behavior and performance to aid in the development of tailored instructional plans.
- Adhere to all California state laws, professional standards, and district policies related to SLPA practice.
- Maintain confidentiality and uphold ethical standards in all interactions with students and staff.
Qualifications:
- Associates or Bachelors degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders.
- Valid SLPA license issued by the California Speech-Language Pathology & Audiology & Hearing Aid Dispensers Board.
- Experience in school settings is preferred; however, new graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills.
- Proficient in using technology to collaborate with a remote SLP supervisor.
