Minimum 1+ years speech therapy experience required.
An opportunity has arisen for a skilled professional to take on a vital role supporting students in a K-12 educational setting. This position is essential in providing targeted assistance to individuals requiring speech and language services. Located in Fremont, CA, this contract position offers a full-time schedule of 40 hours per week, working directly with a manageable caseload of 12-16 students.
Responsibilities:
- Implement instructional programs and strategies as directed by supervising SLPs.
- Collaborate with educators and other staff to support students' communication needs.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and documentation as required.
- Conduct individual and group sessions to facilitate speech and language development.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff regarding student progress and needs.
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of treatment plans.
Qualifications:
- Valid SLPA license in California.
- Experience working with K-12 students, particularly in a school setting.
- Strong understanding of speech and language development.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Knowledge of IEP processes and documentation is preferred.
