Position Summary:Provides in-house legal advice and counsel to YKHC, supervises outside counsel, and shall represent YKHC in such matters as requested or directed by YKHC General Counsel or President/CEO.
Position Qualifications:
- Candidates must have a Juris Doctorate from a U.S. accredited law school and be a member of the Alaska Bar Association.
- Two years practicing law. Experience in business/corporate employment, healthcare, Indian Law preferred but not required.
- Able to become a member of the Alaska Bar Association.
- Excellent research and writing, communication skills, human relations, and the ability to be an effective team player.
- Manages the Legal Department in Vice President & General Counsel’s absence.
