Job Description
American Traveler is seeking a School Occupational Therapist with active or eligible Alaska licensure to serve multiple schools in a flexible, balanced schedule environment.
Responsibilities
- School-based position in Anchorage serving elementary, middle, and high school students
- Therapists operate as itinerant staff typically covering about three schools
- Standard workday is 7.5 hours with staggered school start times
- Weighted caseload model provides balanced, manageable workloads
- Workweek includes monthly 'indirect' week dedicated to evaluations, consultations, and paperwork
- Participate in one week of onboarding and ongoing professional development opportunities
- Two annual OT/PT-specific professional development events with CEUs provided
- Opportunity to attend district-wide PD sessions and hosted expert speakers
- Therapists supported with flexible calendar management to accommodate school assignments
- Experience life in Anchorage with access to urban amenities and outdoor activities
Requirements
- Current Alaska OT license required or willingness to apply upon offer (license required if applicable)
