Overview
The Bid/Proposal Manager is responsible for leading the end-to-end bid process, guiding a cross-functional team to deliver a well-structured, compliant, and competitive submission that meets the client’s technical and commercial expectations. This role reports to the group Bidding Manager, based in Dublin.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full bid lifecycle, from capture planning and win strategy development to PQQ/proposal submission, interview preparation, and debrief sessions.
- Ensure all bids meet client requirements and internal governance standards.
- Coordinate with legal, commercial, and technical teams to align on content, pricing, and compliance.
- Maintain consistency and quality throughout the bid process.
- Lead pricing discussions and utilize automated tools to support fee development.
- Facilitate lessons learned and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Act as the central point of communication between internal stakeholders and support teams.
Requirements
- Relevant degree or equivalent – APMP Qualifications an advantage.
- Proven experience managing bids or proposals in a complex, deadline-driven environment.
- Strong understanding of bid governance, pricing, and compliance processes.
- Excellent communication, coordination, and project management skills.
- Proficiency with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and proposal tools.
- Ability to work collaboratively across global teams and time zones.
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe InDesign is essential, with the ability to independently design and format high-impact proposals and capability statements.
- Proficiency with common IT applications – Microsoft suite.
- Ability to work under pressure and lead a programme to a deadline.
- Energetic, competitive, and a desire to achieve.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and influencing skills; ability to fully engage internal clients and build effective networks.
Compensation is dependent on experience and qualifications.
