Job Details
We are seeking an experienced appellate attorney to join our litigation team, focusing on high-stakes civil appeals involving medical malpractice, personal injury, and general liability defense. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on legal writing, complex analysis, and shaping the law through persuasive appellate advocacy.
What You’ll Do
Handle all aspects of appellate litigation, including drafting appellate briefs, preparing petitions, and presenting oral arguments in Washington’s appellate courts.
Collaborate with trial teams to preserve issues for appeal and develop legal strategy from the outset of litigation.
Conduct in-depth legal research and analysis on complex procedural and substantive issues.
Assist with dispositive motions and provide strategic input on trial-level matters.
Work closely with partners and clients to deliver high-quality, persuasive legal work that reflects the firm’s reputation for excellence in appellate advocacy.
What We’re Looking For
J.D. from an accredited law school and active license to practice in Washington.
3+ years of litigation experience with a strong focus on appellate work preferred.
Demonstrated experience drafting appellate briefs and arguing before appellate courts.
Deep understanding of Washington appellate procedure and civil litigation principles.
Exceptional legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work independently or as part of a team.
