Our organization is currently seeking a highly skilled, detail-oriented Accounting Manager to work directly under our CFO. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and finance, with a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to meticulous accuracy. This is a permanent position that offers an excellent opportunity to lead and refine all aspects of our accounting practices. You will be responsible for overseeing the financial reporting, billing, collections, payroll, and budgeting operations of our company. Responsibilities:

As an Accounting Manager, your duties will include:

1. Overseeing and managing the general accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes.
2. Coordinating and executing the month-end close process and preparing monthly financial statements and reports.
3. Leading the budgeting process, including the development and management of annual budgets, and performing periodic budget analyses.
4. Managing the billing and collections processes and ensuring timely and accurate billing of customers.
5. Overseeing the payroll function to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing.
6. Ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
7. Developing and implementing accounting policies and procedures to improve efficiency.
8. Collaborating with external auditors to ensure successful audit results and compliance.
9. Contributing to decisions regarding financial strategy and operations.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate for the Accounting Manager role should possess the following qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2. Minimum of 2 years of experience in a managerial accounting or financial management role.
3. Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial reporting.
4. Proven experience in managing financial reporting, accounts payable, billing, collections, and payroll.
5. Excellent leadership skills with a demonstrated ability to lead a team and make strategic decisions.
6. Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present financial information in a clear and concise manner.
7. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
8. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially in MS Excel.
9. Ability to work independently, manage large, complex projects, and meet deadlines.
10. High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
