About the Role Lifecycle Marketing team is looking for a strategic and detail-oriented Manager to support customer retention efforts within our subscription products. Sitting within the broader Growth Marketing organization, this contractor will focus on early- and mid-stage lifecycle moments that impact customer churn and engagement. This role is ideal for someone with deep experience in CRM marketing, A/B testing, and campaign strategy—particularly within subscription-based services—who is comfortable owning projects end-to-end and providing strategic direction across teams. Key ResponsibilitiesDrive high-level retention strategy, with an emphasis on reducing churn and increasing engagement among subscribers.Support key workstreams including campaign strategy for tiers, sports content, and special offers.Oversee messaging strategy and performance optimization through A/B testing and continuous campaign iteration.Collaborate with CRM teams to craft targeted communications across email and mobile channels.Partner closely with Data & Analytics to evaluate campaign performance and use insights to inform future initiatives.Provide oversight and feedback to junior team members or contractors; this includes task delegation, quality checks, and strategic input, but not formal people management (no direct reports).Regularly update automated customer journeys with timely and relevant messaging.Help shape personalization efforts based on behavioral and demographic data. Qualifications4–6 years of experience in lifecycle marketing, CRM, or retention strategy within a subscription-based business.Proven success using data and insights to develop customer engagement strategies.Hands-on experience with A/B testing and optimizing campaign messaging for specific customer segments.Strong analytical mindset; able to interpret performance metrics and apply findings to strategy.Comfortable working in a highly collaborative, fast-paced environment with evolving priorities.Experience with CRM platforms (e.g., Braze, Iterable, Salesforce Marketing Cloud) a plus.Passion for media, streaming, or sports content is a bonus!
