Job Description
We are seeking a Principal Electrical Engineer to join our Pharmaceutical, Manufacturing, and Semiconductor Science & Technology Buildings team in Chicago, IL. You will be a technical subject matter expert in electrical systems design for critical industrial manufacturing environments, including Pharmaceutical, Electronics, Chemical, and Division I & II environments.
Responsibilities include:
- Leading electrical design projects, ensuring compliance with NEC, NFPA Life Safety Code, and chemical classification standards.
- Mentoring and supervising Designer-level staff.
- Establishing design and quality standards for the Science and Technology market sector.
- Developing design guides, performing code analysis, and maintaining specifications.
- Overseeing design development, ensuring quality, and verifying work against specifications and codes.
- Leading project teams to produce construction documents within schedule and budget.
- Executing complex electrical designs and preparing reports for high-profile projects.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- At least 15 years of related electrical engineering experience.
- Registered Professional Engineer in Illinois and California, with the ability to obtain licensure in other states.
- Experience designing laboratories, science & technology manufacturing facilities, R&D, or critical facilities.
Compensation and Benefits: The pay range is $140,000-$160,000, based on experience, certifications, and location. We offer a comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, vacation, and 401(k).
