We are currently seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Permanent Accounts Payable Administrator in the Manufacturing industry. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, challenging environment and who is passionate about managing financial transactions. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of our financial department by managing our company’s accounts payable system.

Responsibilities:

As an Accounts Payable Administrator, you will:

1. Manage and oversee the entire accounts payable department.
2. Coordinate with the procurement and production departments to ensure all invoices are accurate and complete.
3. Process invoices and issue payments, ensuring all financial transactions are correctly recorded.
4. Prepare and run AP checks, reconciling payments and resolving any discrepancies.
5. Maintain accurate and complete financial records, including ledgers, journals, invoices, and receipts.
6. Work closely with the accounting team to perform monthly, quarterly, and annual financial audits.
7. Implement effective policies and procedures to improve efficiency and reduce errors.
8. Provide training and guidance to junior staff members.
9. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments in accounts payable.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate for this position will possess:

1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in an Accounts Payable role, preferably within the Manufacturing industry.
2. Proficiency in billing and invoicing, with a solid understanding of AP checks.
3. Excellent numerical skills, with a keen eye for detail.
4. Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and work under pressure.
5. Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
6. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills.
7. Experience with accounting software, such as QuickBooks or Sage.
8. A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
9. A professional accounting certification, such as CPA or CMA, is an asset.
