Job Details
Responsibilities:
As a Senior Property Accountant, you will be tasked with the following:
1. Managing all aspects of accounting and financial reporting for a portfolio of properties, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable standards and regulations.
2. Performing fund accounting, preparing and analyzing income statements, and conducting CAM reconciliations.
3. Overseeing the year-end close process, including the preparation of financial statements and coordination with external auditors.
4. Utilizing MRI Real Estate Solutions Software to manage financial data and generate reports.
5. Collaborating with property managers and other stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
6. Identifying opportunities for process improvements and implementing changes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
7. Providing financial analysis and insights to support strategic decision-making.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Senior Property Accountant role will possess the following:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in property accounting, preferably within the construction industry.
2. Proficiency in fund accounting, CAM reconciliations, and income statement preparation.
3. Extensive experience with the year-end close process and general ledger management.
4. Proficiency in using MRI Real Estate Solutions Software.
5. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master's degree or CPA certification will be considered an advantage.
6. Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with team members at all levels of the organization.
8. Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
9. A high level of integrity, with the ability to handle sensitive financial information with discretion and professionalism.
