Position Summary:
Performs echocardiography testing and procedures on patient and complete examination for interpretation. Performs other related duties. Under the direction of the Cardiopulmonary and EKG-ECHO and EEG Director performs all ultrasound examinations as ordered by the patient's attending physician. Prepares
Qualifications/Requirements
Education
Completion of Ultrasound school required.
Must have completed at least 2 year course in Cardiovascular/Ultrasound Technology.
Required licensures/certifications
RCS or RDCS certification, preferred
Current BLS/CPR Certification required.
Skills and Abilities
Must have a good working knowledge of anatomy, understand principles of physics. Must be able to set up and operate all types of equipment that will be used in both analog and digital Cardiovascular Ultrasound Department. Should have sufficient knowledge of physiology, patient care, and sterile technique to deal with all types of conditions of patients.
Experience
One (1) year experience as a Cardiac sonographer preferred
